How to Make a Difference in the Insulin Crisis

Ready to make a difference in the Insulin Crisis and have your voice be heard? Reaching out to your local representatives is the best way to do this.

Handwritten letters always receive more attention than a printed letter or an email, but ANY form of contact is better than none.

This step-by-step guide will help get your voice heard:

1. Figure out who your representatives

If you aren’t totally sure who your representatives are, you can find them very easily! You can find your Congress Representatives here.

2. Craft your letter.

Let your representative know about the issue at hand and why we need change. Be polite, but use firm language about your stance and what needs to be done for change.

If you are at a loss for words, you can use my template here.

3. Send your letter off.

It’s not a send it and forget it type of thing though! You need to pressure your representatives for change by following up with an email and a phone call reiterating your stance.

Change cannot be made if we do not make our voices heard and urge our legislators to represent us.
